Reviewers play an essential role in maintaining the academic quality, integrity, and credibility of the Journal of Community Service and Application (JOCOSA). Through independent and constructive peer review, reviewers assist the editorial team in evaluating the originality, relevance, methodological quality, clarity, and contribution of submitted manuscripts.
1. Evaluate Manuscripts Objectively
Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and based on academic and scientific considerations. Personal opinions, relationships, nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, religion, political views, or other irrelevant factors must not influence the review.
2. Assess Academic Quality
Reviewers should assess the manuscript's academic quality, including originality, relevance to community service and application, conceptual foundation, methodology, analysis, results, discussion, conclusions, references, and overall contribution to the field.
3. Provide Constructive Feedback
Reviewers should provide clear, professional, specific, and constructive comments that can help authors improve the manuscript. Comments should identify weaknesses and, where possible, provide practical suggestions for improvement.
4. Identify Ethical Concerns
Reviewers should notify the editor if they identify potential plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated or manipulated data, inappropriate citations, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or other ethical concerns.
5. Respect Confidentiality
Manuscripts received for review are confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, copy, distribute, discuss, or use unpublished manuscript information for personal or professional advantage.
