Editorial Ethics

The journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of editorial ethics, integrity, fairness, transparency, and academic independence throughout the publication process. Editorial decisions are made objectively and are based on the scholarly quality, originality, relevance, methodological soundness, and contribution of submitted manuscripts, without discrimination based on personal characteristics, institutional affiliation, nationality, gender, religion, political views, or other irrelevant considerations.

Editors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts are handled confidentially and evaluated through a fair and appropriate editorial and peer review process. Editors must not use unpublished information obtained from submitted manuscripts for personal research, professional advantage, or any other purpose without the authors' explicit permission.

Editorial decisions must remain independent of commercial, financial, institutional, or personal interests. Editors should disclose and appropriately manage any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest that could influence their judgment. When necessary, a manuscript should be reassigned to another qualified editor to ensure an impartial evaluation.

Editors are responsible for selecting qualified and independent reviewers and for ensuring that peer review is conducted professionally, objectively, and confidentially. Reviewers should be selected based on relevant expertise and should not have relationships or interests that could compromise the impartiality of their evaluation.

The journal does not permit editorial or reviewer practices intended to manipulate citation metrics, including inappropriate requests for authors to cite the editor's, reviewer's, journal's, or other authors' publications without a legitimate scholarly justification. Citations should be recommended only when they are relevant, necessary, and contribute meaningfully to the scholarly discussion.

Editors must respond appropriately to suspected ethical violations, including plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, authorship disputes, undisclosed conflicts of interest, unethical research practices, or other forms of publication misconduct. Where concerns arise, the journal may conduct an appropriate investigation and, when necessary, seek clarification or documentation from the authors, reviewers, editors, institutions, or other relevant parties.

The journal recognizes that honest errors may occur in scholarly publishing. When an error is identified, the editors will assess its significance and may publish an appropriate correction, clarification, expression of concern, or retraction when warranted. Post-publication actions are taken to preserve the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.

Editorial staff and editors must maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts, reviewer identities, editorial discussions, and other information obtained during the publication process. Confidential information must not be disclosed to unauthorized individuals or used for purposes unrelated to the editorial evaluation of the manuscript.

The journal supports transparency and accountability in editorial decision-making while recognizing the need to protect confidential information. Authors may raise legitimate concerns or appeals regarding editorial decisions, and such matters will be considered fairly and independently in accordance with the journal's applicable procedures.

By applying these editorial ethics principles consistently, the journal seeks to protect the integrity of the peer review process, promote responsible scholarly communication, safeguard the interests of authors and readers, and maintain public trust in the published academic record.
