The journal respects and protects the copyright and intellectual property rights of authors and other rights holders. Copyright arrangements are intended to provide clear and transparent information regarding ownership, publication rights, licensing, and the permitted use of articles published by the journal.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript submitted to the journal is their original work and does not infringe the copyright, intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights of any third party. Authors must obtain appropriate permission for the use of copyrighted materials, including figures, tables, photographs, illustrations, instruments, substantial text, or other protected content that is not owned by the authors.
Authors must properly acknowledge and cite all sources and third-party materials used in their manuscripts. Any material reproduced or adapted from another source must comply with the applicable copyright and licensing requirements and must include appropriate attribution.
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable publication agreement or article license, authors retain the copyright to their original work while granting the journal the rights necessary to publish, distribute, preserve, and make the article available through its publishing platform in accordance with the journal's publication and licensing policies.
The journal publishes articles under the licensing terms specified for the relevant publication. Readers and third parties may reuse, reproduce, distribute, or adapt published material only to the extent permitted by the applicable license and relevant copyright law. Appropriate credit must be given to the original authors and the journal whenever published content is reused.
Authors may share and disseminate their published work in accordance with the applicable copyright and licensing conditions. Any distribution, repository deposit, educational use, translation, adaptation, or other reuse must comply with the rights and restrictions established by the article's applicable license.
Submission and publication of a manuscript do not transfer ownership of third-party intellectual property to the journal. Authors remain responsible for ensuring that all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and authorizations have been obtained before publication.
Where a manuscript contains material subject to special copyright, licensing, confidentiality, patent, trademark, or other intellectual property restrictions, authors must disclose the relevant information to the journal and provide supporting documentation when requested. The journal may require authors to modify, replace, obtain permission for, or remove material for which adequate rights cannot be established.
The journal reserves the right to investigate allegations of copyright infringement or unauthorized use of intellectual property associated with a submitted or published article. Where an infringement is identified, the journal may request clarification or corrective action from the authors and may take appropriate editorial or legal measures in accordance with applicable policies and law.
If a copyright or intellectual property issue is identified after publication, the journal may publish a correction, clarification, editorial notice, expression of concern, or retraction, or may take other appropriate action depending on the nature and seriousness of the issue. Such actions are intended to protect the rights of affected parties and maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
The journal also respects the intellectual property rights of authors, reviewers, editors, institutions, publishers, and other parties involved in the scholarly communication process. Unpublished manuscripts, reviewer reports, editorial communications, and other confidential materials must not be reproduced, distributed, or used without appropriate authorization.
By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that they have the necessary rights and permissions to submit and publish the work and that the manuscript complies with applicable copyright, licensing, and intellectual property requirements. The journal expects all authors, reviewers, editors, and readers to respect these principles and to use published content responsibly and lawfully.
