Reviewer Process

Introduction
The reviewer process at JOCOSA is designed to ensure that submitted manuscripts receive fair, independent, and constructive academic evaluation.
1. Reviewer Invitation
The editor sends a review invitation containing information about the manuscript and the expected review deadline. Reviewers should assess their expertise, availability, and potential conflicts of interest before accepting.
2. Acceptance or Decline
Reviewers should accept the assignment only when they can provide a competent and impartial assessment. If they cannot complete the review within the required period, they should decline or contact the editor.
3. Manuscript Evaluation
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript according to the journal's review criteria and provide comments regarding strengths, weaknesses, originality, methodology, results, discussion, presentation, and overall contribution.
4. Reviewer Recommendation
After completing the evaluation, reviewers provide a recommendation such as acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. The recommendation should be consistent with the comments provided.
5. Editorial Decision
The final editorial decision is made by the editor. Reviewer recommendations are important evidence in the decision-making process but do not automatically determine the final outcome.
6. Revised Manuscript
When revision is requested, reviewers may be invited to evaluate the revised manuscript and determine whether the authors have adequately addressed the major and minor comments.
